Day 276.

Notes:

* Drawing the actual shapes during the sketch is a good way to get depth and the right kind of volume within perspectives. Otherwise, I'm just drawing the 2D lines instead of the 3D perspective. I need to draw the shapes because I'm still training my brain... maybe I can go to the lines in the future. It also helps me see the perspective on the paper (not just in my mind), so it's easier to tell when things are askew. 
 
* I need to stay zoomed out in the first initial blocking in of tonal values so that I don't get caught up on the details - but focus on the bigger picture first. Then I can zoom in once I can't mold the tonal values as well anymore and have to get closer to get in the shapes.

* Zoom in. Zoom out. Try a new brush. Go back to the original. Rinse, repeat; rinse, repeat.

* Dark skin has very high highlights / contrast. This might be a given, but I needed to write it down anyway.
